January Game Summaries 
 
MONDAY Jan. 8th
BRUINS 3 BLACKHAWKS 2
The Bruins jumped off to a two goal lead in the first period on a goal by Olivia Johncock and another on a powerplay by Shilo Scott. They then added a Harlee Houghton tally in the second period. The Hawks got an early third period goal from Tyler Kerjes and then pulled their goalie during a powerplay and he scored again with 55 seconds to go, but the Bruins held them off the rest of the way for the victory. 
RED WINGS 5 CANADIENS 2
The Wings got a goal from Tanner Brownell and a powerplay score from Matt Christianson to take the lead in the first period. The Canadiens came back to tie it up briefly on goals from Davis & Mahler in the second before Tyler Hickey put them ahead to stay with two goals in a little over a minute apart (the first one shorthanded) at the end of the second.
Chris Pierce had the only goal of the third period for the Red Wings.
RANGERS 3 BLUES 0
The Ranger goalie Sydney Khouri shut the Blues out making her teams three first period goals stand up for the win. Nate Van Stee, Matt Smith, and Mckenna Hammond each scored for the Rangers.
 
Friday Jan. 12th
Senators 7 Maple Leafs 3
The Leafs took a 2 goal lead on a pair of goals by Pashka Mishin in the first before Nick Iszler and Corey Turner scored for the Sens late in the first period. In the second Cody Dixon put the Senators ahead with the only goal of the period. In the third he scored twice more and Devin Greenfield also had two for the Senators. Mishin added one more in the third for the Leafs to complete his hat trick in the losing cause 
Penguins 3 Flyers 0
The Penguins peppered the Flyer goalie Ryan Mudge in this game with shot after shot. Rodney Bement finally managed to get one passed Mudge with 23 seconds left in the first period after the Flyer defense was unable to get the puck out of their own end. Mike Foley & Bement each scored again in the second as again the play was almost all in the Flyers end of the floor. The third period was scoreless as Mudge was able to make some great saves and finally the Flyer forwards were able to get a few chances in the Penguin end. 
Northstars 4 Kings 3
The Northstar's Jessie "Bug" Rushford gave the Stars a three goal lead in the first with a "natural" hat trick. The Kings finally got on the board with a goal by rookie Brandon Kenyon in the second, but Garret Mater stopped a clearing pass and deflected the puck off of a defense on a blistering shot for what turned out to be the winning goal. Sam Denton and rookie Marcus Wesner had goals in the third for the Kings in a comeback attempt that ran out of time.
 
SaturdayJanuary 13th
Kings 3 Rangers 1
Nate Van Stee opened the scoring with a goal for the Rangers in the first period, but Samantha Denton scored a powerplay goal in the second followed about a minute later by a Jordan Denton even strength tally as the Kings began to get chances in close to the Ranger netminder Sydney Khouri. Rookie Evan Adrianson scored in the third again for the Kings, but the Rangers weren't able to get anything passed King goalie Storm Ewing, who was in net for the 2nd & 3rd periods, to give them their first win of the 07 campaign.
Maple Leafs 4 Blackhawks 3
The Blackhawks drew first blood with a Troy Allen goal early in the first, but the Leafs tied it up on a long hard blast from Pashka Mishin who was playing on their defense. The Maple Leafs took the lead briefly on a Tannin Eckhoff smash, but the Hawks came back to take the lead late in the period on goals from Drew Allen and Cash Flower. In the second period however Eckhoff scored twice more for the Leafs to give them the victory. 
Blues 5 Canadiens 5
Near the end of the first period the Canadiens took the lead on a Jack Elliston goal against his former team, but the Blues Jacob Gardner scored in the last minute of the period to tie it up. In the second period the Canadiens again took the lead on an Elliston goal only to see the score tied again by Gardner two seconds later. Elliston again scored for the Habs, but again in less than a minute Gardner completed his hat trick as well to tie it up again. With only 4 seconds to go in the period the Canadiens again got the lead on a Zach Wolcott goal and early in the third period Kyle Wells widened the lead for the Canadiens with a goal. Macy Mund got the Blues back to a one goal defict on a powerplay goal near the 1/2 way point of the period and then Jacob Gardner scored a shorthanded goal at 3:35 to tie the game. 
Senators 6 Penguins 0
The Senators goal scorers kept the Penguin's defense and goalies busy in this one and very sharp goaltending by the Senator netminder Olivia Ricketts made the score rather onesided even though the Penguin offense had several good chances during 6 powerplays. Senators Devin Greenfield, Cody Dixon, and Corey Turner each had two goals in the win.
 
Friday Jan. 19th
Blackhawks 3 Penguins 3
The Hawks took the lead on a pair of Tyler Kerjes goals in the first period. the Penguins tied it up in the second on goals by Mike Foley and Josh Sanchez, but hen the Blackhawks scored to retake the lead on a Cash Flower goal with less than a minute left in the period. In the third Foley again scored for the Pens to end the game in a tie.
Flyers 1 Canadiens 1
Canadiens took the lead early in the first on a Lucas Robles goal, but the Flyer's Tommy Mudge tied it up near the end of the period. Niether team was able to score again although the Canadiens had several more good chances, but were denied by some fine goaltending on the part of the Flyers Ryan Mudge.
Red Wings 5 Maple Leafs 4
In the first period the Wings got goals from Matt Christianson and Tanner Brownell while the Leafs had one from Tannin Eckhoff. In the second the Red Wings had a goal from Wyatt Ledford, but the maple Leafs got one from Scott Foy to cut the lead to one.
Early in the third the Leafs had goals from Eckhoff and Jenna Benedict to briefly take the lead, but the Wings tied it back up a few seconds later on another Brownell tally and then about 3 minutes further on Chris Pierce smashed one to the back of the net for the game winner.
SaturdayJanuary 20th
Blackhawks 7 Canadiens 4
Andrew Brighton had 4 goals for the Hawks and Hannah Hamond, Tyler Kersjes, and Cash Flowers each had one to power them over the Canadiens. Hab goals came from Lucas Robles, Zachery Wolcott,Stephanie Bumford, and Matthew Aiston.
Maple Leafs 3 Rangers 3
Rangers had two goals from Alex Slee and one from Nate Van Stee to earn a tie against the Leafs. The Maple Leafs had a pair of goals from Tannin Eckhoff and a goal from Pashka Mishin.  
Bruins 6 Penguins 6
The Pens had a four goal lead in this one before the Bruins stormed back to get the tie.
Penguin goals were from a hat trick by Matt Wehr and singles from Mike Foley, Rodney Bement, and rookie Hunter Sebastian's first KFHL goal. For the Bruins Alivia Johncock and Harlee Houghton had two goals each while rookie Bryan Guernsey and Joey Currier each scored once. 
Northstars 2 Flyers 2
The Flyers led this one much of the way before a Don Hampton goal got passed Flyer goalie Ryan Mudge in the third period to gain them the tie. Mclain Morehouse had the first Star goal. Rookie Cameron Pifer had a pair of Flyer goals.
MONDAY Jan. 22nd
Northstars 8 Canadiens 1
The Northstars took the lead early in the first on a goal by Jessica "Bug" Rushford and never let the Canadiens get into the game. Rushford had two goals for the Stars as did Don Hampton, and Raeann Kienutske. Gretchen Hakenjos and Rage Sheldon also had Northstar goals. The lone Canadien tally was by Kyle Wells.
Red Wings 3 Kings 2
The Red Wings had goals from Tanner Brownell, Austin Ledford, and a shorthanded goal from rookie Jarrett Hickey as they led 3 to 0 until with just 32 seconds left in the second period Evan Adrianson of the Kings finally was able to score against Wing goalie Chris Pierce. In the third period the King's Samantha Denton deflected another one in , but Pierce and the Wing D were able to keep the Kings from getting any others.
Maple Leafs 3 Blues 1
The Blues were only able to get one puck passed Leaf goalie Keegan Yost in this well played game. Scoring for the Maple Leafs were Aaron Krive, Tannin Eckhoff, and Jessica Fuller. Mike Mesler had the Blues goal. 
Friday Jan. 26th
Blackhawks 5 Blues 2
The Blackhawks led this one from early in the first period. Tyler Kerjes and Troy Allen each had a pair of goals for the Hawks with Andrew Brighton scoring their other. Jacob Gardner had a short handed goal for the Blues and rookie Kallie Orsborn got her first KFHL goal on a Blue powerplay.
Senators 3 Northstars 0
Northstar goalie Garret Mater made many good stops to keep this game close, but Olivia Ricketts got her second shutout of the season in net for the Senators. Senator goals came from Corey Turner, Nick Izler, and Cody Dixon.
Kings 3 Bruins 3
The Kings scored late in the first period on a Brandon Kenyon powerplay goal only to have the Bruin rookie Logan Ramey tie it up on a nice passing play from Joey Currier. The Kings again took the lead on a Kenyon tally in the second only to have a pair of Currier blasts from outside put the Bruins in the lead. In the third period Marcus Wesner's shot from a scramble in front of the Bruin goal went in off a Bruin defender to get the Kings a tie.
SaturdayJanuary 27th
Penguins 5 Rangers 4
Mike Foley put on a scoring show for the Pens with 4 of their 5 goals to push them past the Rangers. Josh Sanchez had the other Penguin goal which they needed as the Rangers had two goals from Matt Smith and one each from Alex Slee and Mckenna Hammond.
Kings 0 Blues 0
Great goaltending and good defense kept this scoreless, although the Kings had more of the chances during the course of play. Blues goalie Dale Laverty showed why the Blues are still a team in the hunt for a playoff spot as he was solid in goal all the way. The King goalies were Jordan Denton for the first two periods and Storm Ewing was in for the third. 
Senators 8 Red Wings 1
The Senator scorers took revenge for their being shutout by the Wings in the Playoff Final in 06 by going on a goal scoring binge. Cody Dixon had a hat trick while Devin Geenfield and Nick Iszler each had two goals. Corey Turner scored the other Senator goal and Chris Pierce spoiled goalie Olivia Rickets shutout bid when he slammed one to the back of the net for the Red Wings in the third period.
Blackhawks 9 Flyers 0
The Flyers were playing in their own end during most of this game as the Blackhawk attack showed why other teams should be concerned about them come playoff time. Tyler Kerjes had a hat trick, while Andrew Brighton and rookies Drew Allen and Trenton Leonard each had a pair.
MONDAY Jan. 29th
Blues 3 Flyers 1
The Blues Jacob Gardner opened the scoring with a hard blast in the first period, but the Flyers got even before the period ended on a Katelyn Murphy goal. In the second period Macy Mund scored to put the Blues back in the lead. Luke Cosgrove also had a third period goal to cement the Blues first victory of the 07 campaign.
Maple Leafs 5 Canadiens 2
Gabriel Gorton smashed a hard shot into the Leaf net in the first period to put the Canadiens in the lead. The Leafs roared back however in the second period with a pair of goals by Pashka Mishin and one each by Rebecca Dicks and Brandon Fuller. The Canadiens did get one goal in the second when a long pass from Matt Aiston on defense found Garett Gay in front of the Maple Leaf net and he slapped it past the goalie. The Leafs got the only third period goal from Cole Decker. 
Red Wings 1 Northstars 0
This one was close from begining to end with the goaltenders at both ends being well tested. The only goal came on a Red Wing powerplay early in the third when Matt Christianson scored. His brother Anthony got the shutout in goal for the Wings.
February Game Summaries
Thursday Feb. 1st
Kings 2 Flyers 2
The Kings took the lead in the last half of the first on a Evan Adrianson goal, but about two minutes later the Flyers Garret Lesage jumped on a rebound from a Tommy Mudge shot in front of the King's net and wacked it in to even the score. The score remained tied until with only 43 seconds remaining in the third period when Jordan Denton drove a shot past the Flyer's goalie. The Flyers didn't give up however and with only 28 seconds to play Tommy Mudge laced a shot into the King's goal to get the tie.
Maple Leafs 3 Bruins 2
The Leaf's Jenna Benedict scored the first goal with only seconds to go in the first period on a shot that found its way through a maze of legs in front of the Bruin net. Early in the second Pashka Mishin who was playing Maple Leaf defense blasted in his second goal from D this season. Late in that period Bruin Mckenzie Davis, on a penalty kill,stopped a pass from the leaf goalie in front of the net and popped it in. In the third period the Bruins again scored a shorthanded goal. This time rookie Jacob Bross scored his first KFHL tally while hanging around in front of the Leaf net. The Maple Leafs came back just seconds later however with a Scott Foy goal to hand the Bruins their first loss of 07.
Blues 1 Red Wings 0
The Blues and Red Wings both played good defense in this tilt with the Blues getting the only goal on a nice passing play that allowed Mike Mesler to smack the puck past the Wing goalie to get the victory. Dale Laverty in goal for the Blues turned away all Wing shots to earn his second shutout of the season. 
Saturday Feb. 3rd
Maple Leafs 5 Flyers 2 
Pashka Mishin put on a scoring show with all five Leaf goals !
Thursday Feb. 8th
Penguins 6 Maple Leafs 1
Good defense in the Pen end kept the Leafs in their end of the floor most of this game. Penguin goals came from Matt Wehr, Hunter Sebastian, Tyler Bushey, Rodney Bement, Mike Foley, and Josh Sanchez. Pashka Mishin scored the only Maple Leaf goal on a powerplay.
Senators 7 Canadiens 1
The Senator's fine passing as well as good defense caused this one to be another win for them. Gunner Tobias and Nick Iszler both had hat tricks and Devin Greenfield played a dominant center with 4 assists as well as a goal. Sam Bonney had the lone Canadien tally.
Rangers 6 Bruins 1
Matt Smith had a very good game at center for the Rangers with two goals and 3 assists. Other Ranger goal scorers were Robbie Hanford (who had a hat trick) and Alex Slee. First grade rookie Jacob Bross had his second goal of the season for the Bruin's only score. Sydney Khouri was again solid in net for the Rangers. 
Friday Feb. 9th
Senators 7 Bruins 2
Nick Iszler scored 4 goals, Gunner Tobias 2, and Devin Greenfield one as the Senators rolled over the Bruins Friday night. The Bruin goals came from Shilo Scott and Harlee Houghton.
Blackhawks 2 Kings 2
Another tie for the Kings(their fourth of the season), as the Blackhawks came back from a two goal defict to get a point. King goal scorers were Samantha Denton and Jonah Denton while the Blackhawks had theirs from Brielle Hammond and Andrew Brighton.
Red Wings 4 Flyers 2
The Flyers gave the Wings a scare in this one by getting the first two goals. Kevin May and Tommy Mudge had scored for the Flyers before a hat trick by Tanner Brownell and a goal by Matt Christianson caused the Red Wings to come back for the win.
Saturday Feb. 10th
Bruins 3 Flyers 1
The Bruins had Goals from Joey Currier, Mckenzie Davis, and Jacob Bross for the victory. Bruin goalie Jennifer Powers had a good outing in net and held the Flyers to a single goal by Matt Reid. 
Kings 2 Canadiens 2
The Kings collected their 5th straight tie of the season on two goals by Evan Adrianson. Both goals for the Canadiens were scored by Matthew Aiston in the last half of the third period. 
Senators 4 Blackhawks 2
The Blackhawks gave the Senators the closest contest they have had so far this season. Nick Iszler and Gunner Tobias each had two goals for the Senators and  Andrew Brighton had a pair for the Hawks.
Rangers 4 Red Wings 2
Very good goaltending by Sydney Khouri gave the Rangers the edge in this tilt. The Rangers had two goals from Matt Smith and one each from Robbie Hanford and Mckenna Hammond. Wing goals were by Greg Glass and Abby Smith.
Monday Feb. 12th
Penguins 4 Red Wings 2
Mike Foley and Josh Sanchez both had a pair of goals to power the Penguins past the Red Wings in this one. Red Wing goals came from rookie Dustin Cook's first KFHL goal and on a powerplay tally by Chris Pearce. Sierra Fighter on the Penguin defense played especially well picking up two assists and on their penalty kills.
Bruins 3 Northstars 3
The Northstars came back in the third period of this one to gain the tie on a Robbie Welch goal from the defense. Mclain Morehouse and Aaron Knoll had the other Star goals. Bruin scorers were Matt Ramey, Mckenzie Davis, and Aliva Johncock.
Blackhawks 3 Rangers 3
The Blackhawks took the lead in the first on a powerplay goal by rookie Jacob Brighton, but Ranger Tyler Jones scored in the last couple of minutes of the period to tie it up. In the second period the Hawks struck twice.first on a blast from the defense by Colton Parish and then when Hannah Hammond slapped one that Ranger goalie Sydney Khouri wasn't able to grab before it crossed the goal line. Nate Van Stee did get one back for the Rangers before the end of the second, but it took a third period goal by rookie Jennele Ames to get the Rangers a tie.
Thursday Feb. 15th
Senators 4 Kings 0
The Kings played well in this one and held the Senators off the board until the second period when Katie Dixon slapped in a rebound in front of the King net for the first goal. Cody Dixon had two more and Nick Iszler one for the Senators. Olivia Ricketts had her third shutout of the season in goal.
Blackhawks 4 Northstars 2
The Blackhawks got two goals apiece from Tyler Kerjes and Jacob Brighton to get the victory over the Northstars. The Stars had goals by Jessie Rushford and Gretchen Hakenjos.
Penguins 2 Blues 1
The Penguins had two Matt Wehr goals to get the win in this tightly contested game. The only Blue goal was made by Mike Mesler.
Friday Feb. 16th
Rangers 7 Flyers 0
Rookie Andrew Hanford had a hat trick and big brother Robbie had a pair of shothanded goals as the Rangers rolled to victory over the Flyers. Matt Smith and John Devoss made the other Ranger goals as goalie Sydney Khouri had her second shutout of the 07 campaign.
Red Wings 3 Bruins 2
The Red Wings were able to hold on to win this one as the Bruins attacked the Wing net late in the contest. Wing goals came from two Tyler Hickey scores and one from rookie Alli Hickey. The Bruin goals were by Joey Currier and Alivia Johncock.
Maple Leafs 3 Northstars 3
The Leaf's Aaron Krive hat trick had given them the lead in this one until the Northstars were able to with their goalie pulled to score two goals in the last two minutes. Jessica Rushford had two goals and Gretchen Hakenjos one for the Stars.
Saturday Feb. 17th
Red Wings 4 Blackhawks 4
It looked like the Wings had this game won on the strength of 4 goals by Wyatt Ledford, but the Hawks pulled their goalie with only 1:28 to play and scored two goals to gain the tie . Blackhawk goals came from a pair by Andrew Brighton and one each by Jacob Brighton and Cash Flower.
Rangers 10 Canadiens 2
The Rangers proved that they can score goals this year as they crushed the Habs in this one. Alex Slee and Nate Van Stee each had hat tricks while Tyler Jones, Jennelle Ames, Matt Smith, and Mckenna Hammond each added one. The Canadien goals were scored by Lucas Robles and Connor Bennett. 
Northstars 2 Blues 1
The Northstars had goals from Rage Sheldon and Don Hampton in the first period and were able to make it stand up to squeek out the win. The Blues had a powerplay goal from Jacob Garner.

Senators 8 Flyers 0

Senator scorers were at it again in this one, but only after being held to one goal in the first two periods. Both Nick Iszler and Gunner Tobias had hat tricks with Devin Greenfield and Alec Hosmereach each scoring single goals. 

Monday Feb. 19th

Bruins 3 Blues 1

The Bruins had goals from Alivia Johncock, Shilo Scott and Nolan Gilson to defeat the Blues and knock them out of the playoff picture this year. Bruin goalie Jennifer Powers played a great game in net , allowing only a powerplay goal by the Blue's Jakob Hall. 

Senators 5 Rangers 3

The Senators had two goals each from Cody Dixon and Gunner Tobias as well as one by Nick Iszler to win over the plucky Rangers. Ranger goals were scored by Nate Van Stee, Matt Smith, and Kody Sheldon(from the defense).

Kings 10 Penguins 3

The Kings showed why they may just be the team to beat for the next few seasons as their young players put on a scoring show against a very good Penguin team. Jordan Denton scored 6 goals, Marcus Wesner had 2, while Samantha Denton and Evan Adrianson had one each. Matt Wehr, Mike Foley, and Rodney Bement scored for the Pens.

Friday Feb. 23rd

Maple Leafs 5 Kings 0

The Leafs were in control all the way in this one as goalie Cole Decker shut down the Kings. Maple Leaf goals came from Aaron Krive, Rebecca Dicks, Keegan Yost(from defense), Jessica Fuller, and Tannin Eckhoff.

Penguins 2 Northstars 1

The Penguins slipped by the Northstars on goals by Mike Foley and Josh Sanchez. The only Star goal was scored by rookie Seth Gurd.

Bruins 2 Canadiens 1

Two goals by Matthew Ramey were enough to give the Bruins this victory over the Canadiens. The only Canadien goal came from Zachery Walcott as Bruin goalie Jennifer Powers had another excellent outing. Brandon Anders played well in net in the losing cause for the Habs.

Saturday Feb. 24th

Rangers 3 Northstars 2

This game was close from begining to end with the Rangers Alex Slee putting them in the lead late in the first and then Andrew Hanford scored in the early part of the second making it a two goal lead. However the Stars came back before the second period was over on a powerplay goal by Raeann Kienutske and then  as they kept up the pressure in the third Kienutske scored a shorthanded goal to tie it up. The Northstars pulled their goalie in the last minute of the contest as they needed a win to move up a position for the playoffs, but the gamble didn't pay off as Alex Slee found the empty net to give the Rangers the victory.

Canadiens 5 Penguins 3

The Canadiens managed a big comeback in this one to get a victory in their last game of the season. The Penguins had a three to one lead on the strength of a pair of goals by Josh Sanchez and one by Matt Wehr, but were foiled by four unanswered goals in the third period. Matt Aiston had a hat trick for the Habs in the game and Anthony Mahler had a pair for them.

Senators 7 Blues 2

Cody Morris gave the Blues the lead briefly in the first period, but then the Senators Katie Dixon got the scoring started for them and it became a bit onesided after that. Garret Shaw also had a Blue goal, but Cody Dixon and Gunner Tobias each had a pair for the Senators and Devin Greenfield and Nick Iszler also had one each.
