January 12th
Blackhawks 7 Bruins 0
The Blackhawks offense started the new season in high gear with an impressive win over the Bruins. To make matters worse for the Bruins, the Hawk defense was very sharp with Makayla Lee-Brown and Austin Rood particularly playing great D in front of Goalie Kenny Christopher who allowed nothing past him for the first shutout of 08.Tyler Kerjes had a hat trick and center Andrew Brighton collected 2 goals(as well as a pair of assists).  Brielle Hammond and Drew Allen also scored goals for the Blackhawks in the victory.
Red Wings 3 Northstars 3
The Wings took a three goal lead in the contest until late in the second period when Cameron Pifer scored and then a strange bounce off of the Wing defense caused Mclain Morehouse to be credited with a Star tally. In the third period a Rage Sheldon smash from the centerline tied it up to stay. The Red Wing goals came from Jarrett Hickey, Nicolas Allwardt, and Katie Blodgett.
Canadiens 6 Ranger 4
This tilt was mostly all offense as the Canadiens scored three unanswered goals in the third period to come back to win. Andrew Hanford had a hat trick and Kevin Nichols had the other score for the Rangers. Canadien goals were by Cathleen Seaton, Stephanie Bumford, Elizabeth Davis, Michael Davis, Gabriel Gorton, and Brandon Anders.
Kings 4 Senators 2
The Kings proved that they are looking to end their playoff absence this season with a well played defeat of the Senators(who hadn't lost a regular season game since the 2005 KFHL season). The King goals were by Jonah Denton, Samantha Denton, Brandon Kenyon, and Aaron Knoll. The Senator's goal scorers were Alec Hosmer and
Jordan Jenkins. Goalie Jordan Denton of the Kings made some key saves and the King defense played a very good game to help earn the win.
January 14th
Penguins 2 Blues 1
Both teams had  few scoring opportunities. Zachary Rosenberger had two goals for the Pens and the Blues only tally was by Cody Morris.
Flyers 3 Maple Leafs 2
The Flyer took the lead with three second period goals and then held on to win after the Leafs came back with two third period scores. Flyer goal scorers were Cole Decker, Matt Reid, and Trenton Leonard. Maple Leaf goals came from Aaron Krive and rookie Lyndi Rose.
Bruins 4 Rangers 3

January 18th

The Red Wings jumped off to a 2 goal lead in the first period with goals from Mike Messler and Wyatt Ledford, but the Blackhawks got one back in the second on a Troy Allen power play tally. The Hawks tied the game up early in the third on a Drew Allen goal, but then with 6:34 remaining in the game Katie Blodgett scored her second of the young season to put the Wings back in the lead to stay. The Blackhawks pulled their goalie for a sixth attacker late in the period and Sam Bonney scored an empty net goal with only 13 seconds left to ice the win for the Wings.
Northstars 5 Canadiens 1
The Canadiens had their only goal within the first minute of play when the Star’s goalie Seth Gurd got tangled up with his defenseman just outside the goal box and the puck squirted free to Cathleen Seaton who slipped it into the net. The Northstars had the only goals after that point with Rage Sheldon getting two, Jacob Wessner (scoring from the defense), Mclain Morehouse, and Austin Hartwell each having one.
Kings 7 Flyers 0
This game was close in the first half with Kings only ahead by one goal, but then the second part of the contest was a different story. Samantha Denton scored two for the Kings in the game and Brandon Kenyon, Zach Wolcott, Megan Green, and Aaron Knoll had the other goals. Jordan Denton was in goal for the Kings in the first two periods and Storm Ewing took over in the third.
January 19th
Blues 5 Rangers 3
The Rangers jumped off to a two goal lead, but the Blues fought back to tie it up by the end of the second period and then took the lead to win in the third period. The Rangers got two goals from Abigail Smith and one from Andrew Hanford. The Blues had a pair of goals from rookie Parker Hall, as well as one each from Macy Mund, Luke Cosgrove, and Cody Morris.
Penguins 5 Senators 0
The Senators were missing some key players and suffered their second loss of the season at the hands of the Penguins. The Pens had two goals from Zackary Rosenberger and one each from Matt Christianson, Toree Heney, and Josh Sanchez. The Penguin defense had another good outing and allowed the Senators very few scoring chances.
Bruins 2 Maple Leafs 1
The Bruins held on to win this close contest. They took the lead in the first on a Bailey Weiler goal, but the Leafs tied it up about three minutes later on rookie Andrew Nichols first KFHL goal. With 4:09 left in the contest rookie Bruin Logan Valiquette scored his first ever which they were able to make stand up for the victory.
Red Wings 3 Kings 1
After a scoreless first period the Wing got a goal from Sam Bonney, but then the Kings drew even on a mistake by the Red Wing goalie Greg Glass. Glass (who otherwise played a flawless game), stopped a shot from Jordan Denton, but then put it in his own net when attempting to clear the puck. The Wings Wyatt Ledford scored a shorthanded goal early in the third period to take back the lead and about four minutes later his brother Austin knocked home another to seal the win for the Red Wings.
January 21st
Blackhawks 13 Maple Leafs 1
The Maple Leafs were short some key players and the Hawks went on a scoring rampage in this one. Black Hawk goals were by Tyler Kersjes and Hannah Hammond (hat tricks), Michaela Johnson and Brielle Hammond (two each), as well as Jacob Brighton, Lee Christopher, and Andrew Brighton. Hawk goalie Kenny Christopher had his attempt at a shutout spoiled in the third period by Leaf rookie Shamin Rowley’s first KFHL goal
Northstars 4 Rangers 3
The hard luck Rangers saw this one slip away later in the third period after they had gone briefly in the lead after struggling back to tie the game up in both the first and second periods. Ranger goal scorers were Andrew Hanford, Abigail Smith, and Jon Lehman. Star goal scoring came from Cameron Pifer, Mclain Morehouse, and two by Rage Sheldon.
Blues 8 Canadiens 1
The Blues defense played well keeping most of the play out of their end and giving their offense lots of shots at the Canadien net. January 25th

The Senators looked like the puck control team of the last two KFHL seasons as they peppered the Bruin net minder. Gunner Tobias had five goals for the Sens, Jordan Jenkins two, and Corey Turner one. The Bruins’ lone talley was by rookie Trenton Imes in his first KFHL game.
Northstars 2 Maple Leafs 1
The Maple Leafs put up a great fight against the Stars and came within less than two minutes of getting a point out of this contest. Kings 4 Blues 2
The King centers Evan Adianson and Marcus Wesner again had great efforts to help give their forwards a chance to get shots on net against a tough Blues defense. Aaron Knoll had a pair of goals for the Kings while Samantha Denton and Megan Green each supplied one. The Blues had goals from Hunter Sebastian and Kallie Orsborn.
January 28th
Blackhawks 3 Senators 0
Kenny Christopher got his 3rd shutout for the Hawks this season and their goals were all from the Brighton boys for this victory. Jacob Brighton had a pair and big brother Andrew scored the third. The Blackhawk defense played well in keeping the number of Senator shots down.

Both of the Sears’s goals were on power plays in the third period with the last one being an empty net goal with 9 seconds left. The Canadiens’s only goal was by Stephanie Bumford.
