Andrew & Matthias in Hastings MI had its last cookout of the summer Wednesday August 13th. The hamburgers, hot dogs potato salad,coleslaw, and chips followed the weekly summer Evening Prayer service!   +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ DGL 2025 Synod On Friday July 11th the Diocese of the Great Lakes held its annual meeting at Ss. Andrew & Matthias in Hastings Michigan. Besides the normal activities of the yearly reports and appointments there were a few extra things happening this year. The Standing Committee was elected with Randy Richardson joining the committee to fill the position left vacant by the passing of Peter Hunt. An amendment to the Constitution and one to the canons passed without any dissenting votes. The Committee on Holy Orders spent some time after the luncheon getting to know two candidates for holy orders Liam Hartson and Nick Acker.  The Synod shortly before being called to order.
