January Results
Monday Jan. 12th
Blackhawks 10 Bruins 0
The Blackhawks jumped off to an early lead in the first period with the first of Andrew Brighton's two goals on the evening. The speedy Drew Allen also had a pair for the Hawks with Jacob Brighton, Lee Christopher,Hannah, Alaina Cobb,Brielle Hammond, and Carlee Allen chipping in for one each. Makayla Brown in goal for the Blackhawks got the first shutout of season as she stopped everything the Bruins could throw at her.
Flyers 9 Penguins 4
This game was close for the first two periods until the Flyers exploded for 4 unanswered goals in the third to run away with the victory. Garettt Gay scored 5 goals and assisted on another as he made life difficult for the Penguin goalies as he seemed to be in front of the net every shift he was on the floor. Felix Pena-Collier also scored a hat trick for the Flyers in his first KFHL game. Former Bruin Gavin Gardner had the other Flyer goal in his first game with them. The Penguins had a pair of goals from rookie Jacob Fulford as well as one each from rookie Bryson Massie and former Ranger Logan Teneyck. 
Rangers 1 Blues 1
The Rangers Abby Smith got them off to a lead early when she grabbed a puck in front of the Blues net and slipped it past the goal line. Near the end of the first period however Parker Hall evened the score on a sharp blast that got past Ranger goalie Lucas Miller. The Blues were unable to get anything else past Miller during the rest of the game in part due to some great play by the Ranger defense. The Blues defense also played tough and the Rangers weren't able to score the rest of the way either to make it a tie.

Saturday Jan. 17th

Blackhawks 5 Canadiens 0

The Blackhawks again dominated the play with another flawless game in goal by Makayla Brown who picked up her second shutout of the young 2009 season. Andrew Brighton had a pair of Hawk goals with Lee Christopher. Michaela Johnson, and Jacob Brighton scoring the others.

Rangers 5 Maple Leafs 0

The Rangers defense kept much of the play in the Leaf's end of the floor. Matt Smith scored a hat trick  (a KFHL first for a defenseman),with some scorching blasts from the D with Brianna Jordan and Andrew Hanford picking up the other Ranger goals. Only good goal tending by Maple Leafs goalie Kodee Crouch kept the score as low as it was as the Leafs were missing some of their key players. Rookie Ranger goalie played well and picked up his first KFHL shutout.

Bruins 8 Penguins 0

The Bruins were an offensive machine in this tilt peppering the Penguin net minders right from the start up to the finish. Seth Gurd had a hat trick and a couple of assists. Bailey Weiler and Jake Bross each scored twice with Rookie Karley Childers picking up her first KFHL goal to round out the Bruin scoring. Isaac Fisher had two scoreless periods in net and Logan Ramey had one against the Penguins.

Northstars 2 Flyers 0

This turned out to be the best game of the day with Ryan Mudge tuning in a fine effort in goal to give the Northstars the victory. Flyer goalie Samantha Henion also was sharp in the nets allowing only two goals by the Stars Austin Reynolds.

Monday Jan. 19th

Blackhawks 4 Blues 1

The Blackhawks had to really work to get this victory against a hard working Blues team. Although the Blues didn't score until Luke Cosgrove spoiled Hawk goalie Makayla Brown's try for a third straight shutout in the third period they kept the defense and netminder busy throughout the contest. Hannah Hammond scored a hat trick to lead the Blackhawk scoring and Andrew Brighton had their other tally.

Senators 9 Northstars 4

Corey Turner had 5 goals and an assist for the Senators while Gunner Tobias had a pair of goals and 5 assists leading the way over the Stars. Lukas Robles had a goal from the defense and Mark Dixon also added a score to round out the Sens attack. Rage Sheldon had a pair of Northstar goals with Austin Reynolds and Ryan Mudge also getting one each.

Kings 9 Bruins 2

The Bruins and Kings traded goals in a closely played first period, but then the Kings dominated the rest of the contest. King goals came from two each by Aaron Knoll,Marcus Wesner, and Evan Adrianson with Jonah Denton,Taryn Medina, and Brandon Kenyon each collecting one. Bruin goals were by Shiann Adams and Seth Gurd.

Friday Jan. 23

 Blackhawks 8 Penguins 2

The Blackhawks scoring machine rolled on, but at least the Pens center Erin French was able to get two goals against their tough defense. Drew Allen and Michaela Johnson each had two goals with Andrew Brighton, Jacob Brighton, Brielle Hammond, and Lee Christopher each collecting one for the Hawks.

 Flyers 5 Canadiens 5

Garett Gay had a hat trick for the Flyers and Felix Pena-Collier had a pair of goals in the game as they came back late in the third period to get a point with a tie. The Canadiens goals came from a pair each by Trenton Leonard and Garrett Lesage with a single from Gabe Gorton.

Red Wings 9 Maple Leafs 4

The Leafs kept the game close the first two periods, but the Wings put the game out of reach in the third. Nick Alwardt, Wyatt ledford, Katie Blodgett, and Tanner Brownell each had a pair of goals for the Red Wings with Jarrett Hickey getting one. Maple Leaf goals were scored by Sam Bonney (who had two against his former team), rookie Michael Royal, and Colyn Reed.

Saturday Jan. 24

Kings 5 Rangers 2

Evan Adrianson and Hunter Sebastian each scored twice for the Kings with Samantha Denton picking up their other goal. Rangers goal scorers were rookie Holden Creller and Matt Smith who had his 4th goal from defense this season setting a new KFHL record.

Blackhawks 8 Maple Leafs 1

Jacob Brighton had a hat trick and brother Andrew had two goals as the Blackhawks again scored a bunch of goals. Drew Allen, Carlee Allen, and Hannah Hammond each also had goals for the Hawks. Rookie Carter Tomko had the only Leaf goal.

Blues 5 Canadiens 0

Raymond Halliwill had his first shutout in goal for the Blues who had a pair of goals from Macy Mund and singles from Dylan Wagner Parker Hall and Jacob Hall.

Senators 6 Penguins 0

The Senators kept the puck away from the Penguins most of the game with their fancy passing . Corey Turner and Katie Dixon scoring two goals each with Gunner Tobias and rookie Alison Dodge getting one  a piece for the Senators.

Monday Jan. 26

Northstars 7 Canadiens 2

After a close first period the Northstars pulled away to take the contest. The Stars had a Ryan Mudge hat trick and two goals from Rage Sheldon with single scores from Eston Sheldon and Skylar Mullins. The two Canadien goals were made by rookies Nick Martin and Alex Musser.

Kings 4 Red Wings 2

The Kings won this closely played tilt with goals from Brandon Kenyon, Jonah Denton, Aaron Knoll, and Hunter Sebastian. Wing goals were from Michael Mesler and Tanner Brownell.

Blues 6 Maple Leafs 4

The Blues pulled off this come from behind victory in the third period after trailing the Leafs much of the game. Luke Cosgrove scored a hat trick and Macy Mund two goals in the third for the Blues. Jakub Hall had scored in the first period for them. The Maple Leafs had two Michael Royal goals and one each from Sam Bonney and Trenton Imes in the losing cause.

Friday Jan. 30

Kings 11 Flyers 0

The Kings gave the Flyers goalies a real workout in this one. Jonah Denton had four goals and Marcus Wesner three for the Kings while Evan Adrianson, Elizabeth King, Hunter Sebastian, and Aaron Knoll each scored once to round out the attack. 

Bruins 4 Maple Leafs 2

The Leafs led early, but the Bruins battled back to gain a hard fought victory. The Bruins had goals from Seth Gurd,Shiann Adams, Michael Sprague, and Logan Ramey. Sam Bonney had both Leaf goals.

Red Wings 5 Blues 0

Wing goalie Greg Glass was sharp in his first shutout of the 09 season. Katie Blodgett collected two Red Wing goals with Wyatt Ledford,Tanner Brownell, and Mike Mesler getting one each.  

Saturday Jan. 31

Rangers 2 Penguins 2

 The Penguin defense played much better in this game and caused the Rangers to have to settle for a tie.  Penguin goals were scored by Toree Heney and Bryson Massie. Ranger goals werefrom Andrew Hanford and Holden Creller.

 Kings 6 Blues 3

The Blues gave the Kings some real trouble in the first part of this contest but faded a bit in the last part. The Blues came out of the second period with a one goal lead, but the Kings scored four unanswered goals in the third period to collect the win. Aaron Knoll had two of the King goals with Bryan Venton scoring one from the defense and Evan Adrianson, Marcus Wesner, and Hunter Sebastian also adding one each. Audrey Reid, Kate Spencer, and Macy Mund made the Blue goals.

 Red Wings 6 Senators 2

The Wings defense were able to keep the Senator scorers down to just two goals while the wing offense was on task to get the victory. Wyatt Ledford hat a hat trick for the Red Wings and Michael Mesler had Two goals with rookie Noah Hansen getting his first KFHL goal. Senator goals were by Corey Turner and Jordan Jenkins.

 Blackhawks 9 Flyers 1

The Blackhawks had the Flyers playing in their own end most of this contest asAndrew Brighton scored a hat trick and Drew Allen had a pair of goals.Other goals for the Hawks came from Hannah Hammond, Brielle Hammond, Lee Christopher and Jacob Brighton who scored his from the defense. The lone Flyer goal was made by Garett Gay.

FEBRUARY RESULTS

Monday Feb. 2

Senators 10 Bruins 2

The Senators went on a seven goal rampage in the first period to dump the Bruins in this one. Corey Turner had five goals for the Senators with Gunner Tobias adding two and Jordan Jenkins, Cassidy Fisher, and Alec Hosner collecting the others. Both Bruin Goals were by Seth Gurd.

Maple Leafs 5 Canadiens 2

The Maple Leafs took advantage of two power play goals in the first period and three even strength second period goals to get their first 2009 win. Canadien goals were both by Jacob Wessner and the Leafs had a pair each by Sam Bonney and Michael Royal as well as one from Colyn Reed.

Red Wings 6 Flyers 1

The Wings Tanner Brownell, Michael Mesler, and C.J. Davis each scored twice in this one sided tilt. Goalie Greg Glass had a shutout going until late in the third period when Flyer rookie Alissa Bowerman acted as the spoiler with her first KFHL goal.

Friday Feb. 6 

Penguins 5 Maple Leafs 3

The Leafs led this one much of the way , but the Penguins battled back in the third for the win. Michael Royal scored two goals for the Leafs and Colyn Reed their other tally. The Penguins had two from Toree Heney and one each from rookie Coy Teneyck, Byson Massie, and Andrew Schliep.

Senators 10 Canadiens 4

The high scoring Senators were at it again with the Canadiens getting a few back, but not enough. The Sens had five goals from Katie Dixon as well as a pair from Gunner Tobias and one each from Jordan Jenkins, Mark Dixon, and Cassidy Fisher. The Canadiens had a hat trick from Gabe Gorton as well as one from Hunter Hilton.

Bruins 5 Rangers 2

The Rangers came out of the first period with a two goal lead, but the Bruins came back to get the victory.Both Ranger goals were by Ford Faynor. The Bruins goals came from two by Shiann Adams and one each by Michael Sprague, Seth Gurd, and Jake Bross.

Saturday Feb. 7

 Rangers 4 Canadiens 0

Ranger rookie goalie Lucas Miller got his second shutout of the 09 KFHL season with J.J. Lehman , Brianna Jordan, Andrew Hanford, and rookie Tyler Huver each getting a goal for the win.

Blues 5 Northstars 2

The Stars Elizabeth Rushford gave the a first period lead, but Macy Mund tied it up with her first of four Blues goals. Rage Sheldon gave the North stars a brief lead in the second period before the Blues scored the last four goals of the game. Luke Cosgrove had the other Blues goal.

Senators 8 Flyers 1

Garett Gay scored his tenth goal of the season for the Flyers to put them in the lead for much of the first period, but it was all Senators the rest of the way. Alec Hosmer and Corey Turner each had a hat trick, and Katie Dixon had a pair of goals for the Sens.

 Red Wings 3 Blackhawks 1

After a scoreless first period the Red Wing’s Wyatt Ledford scored with only seconds left in the second. He scored again early in the third, but then Drew Allen smashed a shot past Wing Goalie Greg Glass to make it a one goal game again. Only a few seconds later however, rookie Brandon Kempf lifted a shot into the net from a scramble in front of the Hawk net to give the Red Wings their winning two goal margin.

Monday Feb. 9

Rangers 7 Northstars 2

The Rangers got four Matt Smith goals as well as one each from Ford Faynor, J.J. Lehman, and Abby Smith and their rookie goalie Lucas Miller turned in another fine performance in this game. Both Star goals were scored by Rage Sheldon.

Penguins 4 Canadiens 1

The Canadien’s Hunter Hilton scored early in the first period to give them the lead, but the Penguins came back to tie it later in the first and then went on to score unanswered goals in the next two periods for the win. Penguin goals came from Toree Heney, Erin French, Jacob Fulford, and Tony Strotheide.

Blues 7 Senators 2

The Blues defense and centers played a fine defensive game that didn’t let the Senators offense get going in their end much of the game. The Blues got a pair of goals each from Macy Mund and Luke Cosgrove as well as single goals from Dylan Wagner, Katelyn Spencer, and Jakob Hall.. The senator goals were by Jordan Jenkins and Corey Turner.

Friday Feb. 13

Blues 6 Flyers 2

The Blues defense again played a good game and their offense led by Macy Mund who had a hat trick made the most of their chances for the win over the Flyers. Parker Hall had one Blues goal as did Emily Morris from the defense. Garett Gay scored both Flyer goals.

Blackhawks 0 Kings 0

Both goalies, Jordan Denton of the Kings and Makayla Brown of the Hawks, played great as did their defense in front of them keeping this a scoreless tie.

Red Wings 4 Northstars 0

The Wings goalie Greg Glass collected his second shutout of the 09 campaign and Jarrett Hickey had two goals to lead them past the Stars. Tanner Brownell and Wyatt Ledford also had goals for the Red Wings.

Saturday Feb. 14

Flyers 4 Maple Leafs 1

The Leafs Sam Bonney’s goal in the first period got them off to a good start, but the rest of the way only the Flyers could get anything in the net. Nolan Gilson had a long goal from the defense followed by goals from Felix Pena-Collier, Sam Seaton, and Garett Gay.

Kings 6 Senators 2

The Kings led most of the way in this one as their defense kept the Senator scorers at bay most of the time. The Kings had a hat trick from Marcus Wesner and a pair of Joah Denton goals as well as one from Jason Green. Senator goals were by Katie Dixon and Corey Turner.

Blackhawks 3 Northstars 2

The Stars really pressed the Hawks all game, but came up one short in the end. Jacob Brighton, Drew Allen, and Brielle Hammond scored for the Blackhawks. Northstars goals wereby Skylar Mullins and Cameron Pifer.

 Blues 5 Penguins 3

The Blues got off to a two goal lead in the first and were able to keep a determined Penguin team from closing that gap. Macy Mund provided two Blue goals with Luke Cosgrove, Jakob Hall, and Dekota Wagner each getting one. Erin French,Toree Heney, and Jacob Fulford had the Pens goals.

Monday Feb. 16

Red Wings 6 Penguins 2

Jarrett Hickey and Wyatt Ledford each had a hat trick to get the Wings the victory. The Penguins Bryson Massie had both of their goals.

 Northstars 7 Bruins 3

Northstar Ryan Mudge had a hat trick and both Rage Sheldon and Austin Reynolds sored two goals to lead them to the win. Bruin goals were scored by Michael Sprague and Seth Gurd.

 Blackhawks 6 Rangers 0

The Rangers kept this one close until the Hawks exploded for five third period goals. Blackhawk goalie Maykayla Brown picked up her fourth shutout of the season while Hannah Hammond and Drew Allen each had a pair of goals. Andrew Brighton and Brielle Hammond had the other two Blackhawk goals.

Friday Feb. 20

Rangers 6 Flyers 2

The Rangers played a tough defense and didn’t miss many chances on offense to get this victory. Matt Smith had a hat trick for them and Tyler Huver, Brianna Jordan, and Andrew Hanford also scored. Garett Gay had both Flyer goals.

Red Wings 10 Bruins 1

The Wing scorers were getting a lot of shots in this one led by Wyatt Ledford who had five goals. Jarrett Hickey also scored a pair with Brandon Kempf, Katie Blodgett, and Tanner Brownell picking up one each. The lone Bruin goal was by Jake Bross.

Northstars 5 Maple Leafs 3

The Northstars came back to win this game in the third period after the Leafs had at one point had a two goal lead in it. Ryan Mudge had a hat trick with Rage Sheldon and Austin Reynolds getting a goal a piece for the Northstars. Michael Royal, Sam Bonney, and Trenton Imes had the Maple Leaf goals.

Saturday Feb. 21

 Bruins 4 Flyers 3

The Bruins Seth Gurd had four goals and the Flyers Garett Gay had a hat trick to provide all the scoring in this contest !

 Kings 14 Canadiens 1

Marcus Wesner led the way in the Kings romp over the Canadiens with five goals and one assist. Evan Adrianson also had a hat trick with Zach Walcott getting a goal from the D. The Kings Hunter Sebastian, Taryn Medina, Samantha Denton, Aaron Knoll, and Jonah Denton each scored once as well. Jacob Wessner got the lone Canadien goal.

Blackhawks 8 Senators 3

The Senators led most of the way in this one until Jacob Brighton broke out to score 6 unanswered goals in the third period. Drew Allen scored the other two Hawk goals. Corey Turner had two for the Senators with Alec Hosmer picking up the other one.

Red Wings 6 Rangers 2

The Red Wings scored twice in the first period, but the Rangers kept the game close until the third period when the Wings broke out for four more goals. Michael Mesler had a hat trick with Wyatt Ledford getting two and Tanner Brownell scoring once for the Red Wings. Matt Smith and Ford Faynor had the Ranger goals.

Kings 5 Northstars 3

Stars goalie Cameron Pifer kept this one close with some very good goaltending, but the Kings snipers just were too much for him. Brandon Kenyon had a pair of goals for the Kings with Jonah Denton, Jason Green, and Aaron Knoll getting one each. Northstar goals were by Rage Sheldon, Austin Reynolds, and Ryan Mudge.

Red Wings  11 Canadiens 0

Greg Glass picked up his third shutout of the season, but handled the puck very little in this one sided contest with the Canadiens. Wyatt Ledford again scored five goals for the Wings with Jarrett Hickey getting a hat trick and Katie Blodgett having a pair of goals. Rookie Nathan Crane also added his first KFHL goal

Senators 11 Maple Leafs 1

Katie Dixon had four goals for the Senators, Jordan Jenkins a hat trick, and Gunner Tobias had a pair for them as they defeated the Leafs in this one. Kayla Dankenbring and Mark Dixon each scored one as well for the Senators. The only Leaf goal was by rookie Darius Abbott.

Friday Feb. 27

 Blues 5 Bruins 3

The Bruins scored first in this contest and led much of the first two periods, but the Blues came back to get the win. Shiann Adams, Seth Gurd, and Jake Bross each had a goal for the Bruins. Luke Cosgrove scored twice for the Blues who also got goals from Macy Mund, Jakob Hall, and Zachary Orsborn( from the defense).

Senators 7 Rangers 1

The Rangers took the lead in this one near the end of the first period on an Abby Smith goal. About halfway through the second period however Katie Dixon scored to tie it up and the game was all Senators from then on. Corey Turner had a hat trick for the Senators and Gunner Tobias, Mark Dixon, and Jordan Jenkins also had one each for them.

 Kings 12 Penguins 2

Brandon Kenyon’s five goals led the Kings attack while Marcus Wesner, Aaron Knoll, Samantha Denton, Jonah Denton, Evan Adrianson, Jason Green, and Grant Adrianson (from the defense) each had one. Toree Heney had both Penguin goals

 Monday March 2

Kings 9 Maple Leafs 1

Marcus Wesner had four goals, Samantha Denton had a hat trick and Hunter Sebastian a pair to lead the way for the Kings as they ended the 2009 KFHL regular season in first place with their victory over the Maple Leafs. Sam Bonney ad the only Leaf goal

Northstars 3 Penguins 1

The Northstars and Penguins both played hard in a close contest. The Stars had goals by Skylar Mullins, Austin Reynolds, and rookie Lane Pixley. Toree Heney scored for the Penguins.

Bruins 7 Canadiens 4

Hunter Hilton had a hat trick and Garrett Lesage smashed home a goal for the Canadiens, but the Bruins had hat tricks from both Logan Ramey and Shiann Adams as well as a goal by Karley Childers to give them the win in this last of the 2009 regular season games.
